Flower openly funnel-shaped, 2¾" across, frilled lobes, strong purplish pink, with olive brown flecks on dorsal lobe. Dome-shaped truss with 18 flowers. Tends to flower heavily every other year.

Leaves narrowly elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, somewhat recurved at margin, 5½" long, with white, patchy indumentum, retained 2 years. Broad, rounded plant habit.
