Rhododendron Shows

It would be of great interest to have a complete list of all the shows and exhibitions put on by the various Chapters and members of the American Rhododendron Society. This could probably be arranged for the major shows but various groups put on educational displays, some large and some small, many of which - are never publicized nationally. The following list, therefore, is necessarily only a partial one but will give a little idea of the general activities of the various Chapters in this field:

• California Chapter, April 16 and 17, at the Hall of Flowers, Golden Gate Park.

• Great Lakes Chapter, May 28 and 29, Garden Center of Greater Cleveland.

• New York Chapter, May 22 at Planting Fields Arboretum, Oyster, Bay, Long Island.

• New York Chapter also has been active in connection with the International Flower Show in New York, May 5 to 13, and the Long Island Nurserymen's Show, Westbury, Long Island, March 26 to April 3. The Chapter is also planning an "Early Show" for Friday night, May 6.

• New Jersey, Garden at the International Flower Show, March 5 to 13.

• Olympia Chapter, May 28 and 29, Tumwater Falls Park.

• Portland Chapter, at the Rhododendron Island, May 7, 8.

• Seattle Chapter, Early Show, March 25 and 26.

• Tacoma Chapter, Annual Meeting of the American Rhododendron Society and Show at the Tacoma Mall, Tacoma, May 13, 14, and 15.
