Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Anah Kruschke'

Flower strong reddish purple with a deep purplish red blotch, 3" across, widely funnel-shaped.  Held in ball-shaped trusses of 10-12 flowers.  Blooms late midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, 4½" long, glossy, yellow-green, retained 3 years.  Rounded habit.  Heat & sun tolerant.  Typical height: 5 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Kruschke.

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Dora Amateis'

Flower white with faint green spotting, openly funnel-shaped, 2" across.  Held in lax truss of 6-8 flowers.  Very floriferous plant.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, recurved, 2" long, light green with bronze highlights, if grown in full sun.  Compact habit.  Height: 3 ft. in 10 years.  Grows twice as wide as high.  Plant is cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Prefers some shade for best performance.  Hybridized by Amateis.  Received the Award of Excellence from the American Rhododendron Society and the First Class Certificate from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Evergreen Azalea: 'Koromo-shikibu'

Flower light purplish pink, with darker tips and spots at base, single, 2½" across, with narrow, deeply divided, strap-like lobes, ¼" wide and 1" long.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, 1"-1½" long, olive green.  Upright, open plant habit.  Grows to a typical height of 4 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to 10°F (-12°C).  Hybridizer is unknown.

Deciduous Azalea: R. 'Chetco'

Flower vivid yellow with an vivid orange yellow blotch, reverse of tube strong reddish orange, 3½" across, widely funnel-shaped.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves elliptic, medium green, deciduous.  Upright plant habit.  Grows to a height of about 5 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Slonecker.
