Elepidote Rhododendron: R. 'Nova Zembla' Flower bright red with black spots, openly funnel-shaped, 5" across. Held in ball-shaped trusses with 8-12 flowers. Blooms midseason. Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, thick, olive green. Upright plant habit. Grows to a typical height of 5 ft. in 10 yrs. Heat and sun tolerant. Cold hardy to -25°F (-32°C). Hybridized by Koster. |

Lepidote Rhododendron: PJM Group Flower lilac purple to light violet, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, 1½" across. Several clones are known as well as a number of forms. Ball-shaped truss holds 5-12 flowers. Blooms early midseason. Leaves elliptic, flat to convex, obtuse apex, cuneate base, 1¼" to 2" long, glossy, mid green, rust-colored scaly indumentum, deep mahogany-purple in winter. Upright, dense growth habit. Grows to a height of about 4 ft. in 10 yrs. Plant is cold hardy to -25°F (-32°C). Heat and sun tolerant. Hybridized by Mezitt. |

Evergreen Azalea: 'Stewartstonian' Flower moderate red with a slight flush of strong reddish orange along lower midribs in the throat, faint spotting of strong red on lower lobe, openly funnel-shaped, 1" across. Truss holds 2 flowers. Blooms early midseason to midseason. Leaves elliptic, ¾" long, glossy, green tinged red. Leaves turn wine red in winter. Dense, compact habit. Grows to about 5 ft. in 10 years. Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C). Hybridized by Gable. |

Deciduous Azalea: R. 'Weston's Lemon Drop' Flower pale yellow that fades with age, tubular funnel-shaped, 1¾" across, fragrant. Held in dome-shaped truss of 9 flowers. Blooms very late. Leaves obovate, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, 2" long, up curved margins, semi glossy, bluish-green, red in the fall. Mildew resistant. Open multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a rounded form. Plant grows to about 7 ft. tall in 10 years. Hardy to -35°F (-37°C). Hybridized by Mezitt. |
