Vireya Rhododendron: 'Mitch Mitchell' Flower inside deep yellowish pink surrounding a large, central, star-shaped marking of pale yellow green shading to light greenish yellow in the throat, outside pattern similar to that of interior with the "star" light greenish yellow and the margins deep pink, tubular funnel-shaped; 4⅜" across, wavy-edged lobes, lightly scented. Flat-shaped truss has 5 flowers. Blooms in spring, summer and autumn. Leaves elliptic, obtuse apex, cuneate base, upcurved margins, 5½" long, semi-glossy, dark yellowish green. Grows to a typical height of 5½ feet in five years. Intermediate plant habit. Hybridized by Mitchell. |
